OUR STORY

Your first visit to Orlando Physical Therapy is your first step toward complete wellness.

We are a different type of practice. Our 1:1 services are detailed and creative, and our techniques are modern and cutting edge.

WHO WE ARE

When I began my practice in 2001, it was my sole intention to eliminate the patient “treadmill” mentality that other clinics employ. Being a traditionalist, I wanted my medical services to be more thorough and personal as a way of “returning to the past” when clinicians spent time with their patients and actually LISTENED.

At Orlando Physical Therapy, we provided a multi-disciplinary practice combining Physical Therapy, Massage, and Acupuncture to produce a healthy mind and body. We believe that being healthy is more than just the absence of pain. It is being able to function at the highest level your body is intended to function. We have helped hundreds of patients regain their quality of life, and would love to add you to our list of success stories

CUSTOMIZED THERAPY PLANS

I set out to truly customize and tailor each therapy session to become a therapeutic experience by persistently altering, improving, and refining the process of my delivery of care. Your 1:1 treatment session is not only designed to help remediate your physical impairments and disabilities, but also to holistically empower you to create a stronger mind-body connection that will positively influence your physical responses and create a greater sense of well-being.

My belief is that like the body, your mind goes through a series of changes, some good, some bad. How we respond to these changes determines our well-being. Our boutique like practice continually strives to promote and facilitate strategies that will help you respond more skillfully to the stressors of life, subsequently putting you into more of a state of being instead of doing. We achieve this by having all of our treatment rooms outfitted with meditation music, dim lighting, and aromatherapy.

Our goal is to eventually have you live your life with less stress and more balance, create an inner sense of love, and capture the heart of relaxation.

Prior to starting his own clinic, Dr. Orlando worked for the NYC Board of Education for 7 years designing treatment programs for children with developmental disabilities so as to enhance their neurological and physical capabilities. Disenchanted with the productivity pressures commonly found in most doctor’s offices, he founded Orlando Physical Therapy with its core focus being to eliminate the patient "treadmill" mentality that other clinics institute and instead devote more time towards one-to-one patient care and advocacy. Dr. Orlando takes the time to make a personable connection with the people he treats by making a point to understand how they feel, their concerns, and devises a long-term game plan that is individually tailored to each patient.

He brings that same compassion within his own community, where he sponsored and participated in a seminar for Hoboken Family Alliance Bike Camp aimed at helping a child with disabilities learn to ride a bike. Dr. Orlando currently resides in Hoboken with his wife and three young children.
