1. What is a Physical Therapist?
Physical therapists (PTs) are licensed health care professionals that evaluate a patient’s condition and then plans and administers treatments to promote optimal health. They provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health. Their patients include accident victims, orthopedic conditions, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and individuals with disabling conditions such as low back pain, arthritis, fractures, and neurological insults.

3. How long will my appointments be?
All treatment sessions are tailored to an individuals’ personal goals. However, on average a treatment session usually lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

4. What should I wear to Physical Therapy?
For your initial physical therapy visit it is important to wear (or bring) clothing that will allow us to evaluate your injury. For example, if you have a knee injury please bring shorts, if you have a shoulder injury please bring a tank top. If your therapy consists of exercise, please wear or bring closed toe shoes and appropriate exercise clothing.Back to Top
5. Will you communicate with my physician regarding my physical therapy treatment?
Yes. Each evaluation is either faxed or sent to your physician’s office the next day. Furthermore, a 4 week re-evaluation (if needed) is performed and again sent or faxed, providing your physician the information needed concerning your progress.

6. Do I need to see a doctor before coming for physical therapy?
No. New Jersey is a direct access state – meaning that patients can access physical therapists directly, without seeing a physician first. We can treat you for a period of thirty days, after which you will need to be seen by a physician. If further treatment is required you will need to obtain a prescription from your physician.

7. How long is a prescription good for?
Prescriptions are written at the discretion of a physician, and will differ in frequency and duration. Our office will try to assist you in keeping track of visits and time frames. Obtaining a prescription for physical therapy is ultimately your responsibility. Please check with our front desk for a detailed listing of your appointments.
No. We believe in providing the highest quality physical therapy care and therefore all treatment is performed by a licensed physical therapist. Yes. We will provide Physical therapy in your home or work if needed. Ask us about insurance reimbursement. Back to Top

Yes. All of our therapists are licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of New Jersey, by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners.
